”Uma” project and extra help.

Finally we got a nice day for work in our project. Nja, a good day for everyone who to work outside, but personally I really hate the sun. We started to work earlier than normal, prepared everything for continuing working and I start to feel melting. Anyways, Tako could continue with the Uma and I started to collect material to make fire inside the barrel. After an hour my father in law came cykling to the house to take some pictures. It was really nice inspite of the sun, and he went back home promicing to come back to visit us later.

A sunny day with a lot to do.

I cannot explain how hard is to remove the unwanted plants on and inside the ground. They spread the roots as far as they can , and when you try to remove one, starts to appear 10 new stems with more roots. I think is really hopeless at the beginning, but after 2 or 3 hours working you can start to see the diference. After a while we took the lunch break, I was tired of the sun.. So i was regreting to see the spring comming. For sure, I´ll not be able to work on summer.

After the lunch my father in law came back again. This time he had a lot of tools with him. He took a electric generator, and Tako was really grateful for that because he could continue working faster with some machines. Then, my father in law started to help us with the work at the garden. He broke down some cabinets and other furniture we´ve left outside and burned it. Meanwhile, I was continuing with the plants, cutting and removing some, cutting and gaving some form to others, waiting for the mountains cover the sun.

After 4 o´clock we did a lot. New spaces appeared, more old wood too. Despite of the juice and some breaks i felt totally exhausted. My father in law left the food he bought for us, the machines and went back home, he was tired too, it was a really great, but tough job. Tako decided to go back home too at 5 pm. He couldn´t finish the Uma, but is almost done. I hope he can be able to start the renovation work soon?

Proyecto ”Uma” y ayuda extra

Finalmente tuvimos un lindo día para nuestro proyecto. Nja, un buen día para todos los que les gusta trabajar afuera, pero personalmente odio bastante el sol. Comenzamos a trabajar mas temprano de lo normal, preparamos todo para continuar trabajando y yo comencé a sentir que me estaba derritiendo. En todo caso, Tako pudo continuar con su Uma y yo comencé a recoger material para prender fuego en el barril. Luego de una hora mi suegro llegó en su bici a la casa para tomar algunas fotos. Fue genial a pesar del sol, y entonces se fue de vuelta a su casa prometiéndonos volver más tarde.

No puedo explicar qué tan difícil es quitar la maleza en y por debajo del suelo. Sus raíces se extienden tan lejos como pueda, y cuando intentas arrancar una comienzan a salir 10 ramas nuevas con más raíces. Creo que al comienzo es desesperanzador, pero 2 o 3 horas de trabajo se puede ver la diferencia. Luego de un rato tomamos pausa de almuerzo , estaba re cansada del sol, así que me estaba arrepientiendo por querer ver la primavera llegar. En serio, no voy a poder trabajar en verano.

Después del almuerzo mi suegro regresó, ésta vez traía un montón de herramientas consigo. Trajo un generador de energía y Tako estaba agradecido por ello, ya que así podía trabajar más rápido con algunas máquinas. Entonces mi suegro comenzó a ayudarnos con el trabajo en el jardín. Rompió algunos muebles que habíamos dejado afuera y poder quemar. Mientras tanto, yo continué con la maleza, corté algunas plantas, le di forma a otras y esperando a que el sol se ocultara tras las montañas.

Después de las 4 pm ya habíamos hecho muchísimo. Nuevos espacios aparecieron y más madera vieja también. A pesar del zumo y de las pausas me sentía totalmente agotada. Mi suegro dejó la comida que había comprado para nostros, las máquinas y regresó a su casa, estaba cansado también. Fué un trabajo estupendo, pero también muy pesado. Tako decidió en también volver a casa hacia las 5. No pudo terminar el Uma, pero está casi listo. Espero que él pueda comenzar con el trabajo de renovación pronto?
