After a long time

It was a quite long time since we went to the house for last time. Unfortunately it was raining every sunday and as you know, is impossible for us to work in those kind of weather. We have so much to do there! But due to the weather we preferred to go somewhere and try to take some rest. Tako works really hard from monday to saturday, and because he is daiku he has to work 10 or 11 hours per day. Personally I don´t like that kind of ”slave work”, but that´s another topic, how can a boss take advantage of their position, I dont agree that.. Anyways! We´ve used the sundays to travel around, finding wonderful places, buying traditional stuff, exploring the montains and trying to relax as much as we could. We went also to his anccestors grave, important persons 120 years ago who foundated a town, worked hard for the japanese emperor, really nice stories to hear and places to visit.

But this sunday we could come back to the house for working. Tako had had to continue with the Uma, while i wanted to work again with the plants that could grew up during the rain and the sundays we could´t go. I was happy, because my parents in law came to help me in the garden and gave us cans with warm soup. I´ve never drank soup from a can looked like a cola, but it was really delicious! My father in law said he would like to cut the grass with a mower, so i left a part of that for next weekend.

I worked also on the edge, removing the roots of old cuted trees. Tako wanted to leave the first Uma monted and wanted to burn up some old wood we have in the garden. It was a pretty nice evening, burning dry grass, old wood and enjoing the heat the stove spread around us. We were there till the twiglight came and it was impossible to see anymore. I really wanted to go to any ”Hanami” somewhere, but it was too late, we were hungry and wanted to go back home to cook the dinner.

Under these weeks we also got more wood for the renovation for free, stove tubes also for free and probably we will get more material, but we couldn´t work on it, because of the short time we had for working in this project.

Tako finally could use some machines for working faster!

I was thinking it´s really important to let Tako rest well enough. So I was wondering if I should also start to talk about another topics on this blog? If we go around another places, if we visit parks, museums, mountains or we do another kind of intetresting things could be interesting for you too i any case..!

Luego de un tiempo

Ha pasado bastante tiempo desde que fuimos a la casa por última vez. Lamentablemente ha estado lloviendo todos estos domingos y como saben, no nos es posible trabajar en esas condiciones climáticas. Tenemos tanto que hacer alli! Pero debido al clima preferimos ir a otros lugares y relajarnos un poco. Tako trabaja realmente duro de lunes a sábado, y porque es daiku tiene que trabajar 10 u 11 horas por día. Personalmente no me gusta ese tipo de ”trabajo de esclavo”, pero ese es otro tema. El cómo un jefe toma ventaja de su posición, yo no acepto eso. En todo caso! Hemos estado usando los domingos para viajar por los alrededores, encontrando lugares maravillosos, comprando objetos tradicionales, explorando las montañas e intentado relajarnos tanto como nos fue posible. También hemos ido a las tumbas de sus ancestros, personas importantes e influyentes 120 años atrás, quienes fundaron pueblos, trabajaron duro para el emperador, buenas historias que escuchar y lugares que visitar.

Pero este domingo pudimos regresar a la casa para trabajar. Tako ha tenido que continuar con su “uma”, mientras yo quería trabajar con las plantas que lograron creer durante las lluvias y los domingos que no pudimos ir. Estuve muy feliz, porque mis suegros vinieron para ayudarme en el jardín y nos ofrecieron latas de “sopa” caliente. Nunca había bebido sopa de una lata que parece de cola, pero estuvo deliciosa! Mi suegro dijo que le gustaría podar el pasto con una podadora, así que dejé una parte de mi trabajo para la próxima semana.

Adelantando trabajo poco a poco.

También trabajé en los bordes de piedra, removiendo las raíces de viejos árboles ya cortados. Tako quería dejar listo el primer Uma armado y quemar algo de madera vieja que tenemos en el jardín. Fue una linda tarde quemando maleza seca, pasto, madera vieja y disfrutando del calor que el barril diseminaba alrededor. Estuvimos allí hasta que llegó el anochecer y era imposible ver más. Yo realmente deseaba ir a algún “Hanami”, pero era demasiado tarde, teníamos hambre y queríamos volver a casa a cocinar.

Durante estas últimas semanas obtuvimos madera para la renovación sin costo, tubos para el horno también gratis y probablemente vamos a recibir más material, pero no pudimos trabajar en ello debido al poco tiempo que hemos tenido para el proyecto.

También he estado pensando que es importangte dedjar a Tako descansar suficiente. Asi que me estaba preguntando si debería también comenzar a hablar sobre otros temas en este blog? Si vamos a otros lugares, si visitamos parques, museos, montañas o si hacemos otro tipo de cosas interesantes para ustedes también, en todo caso..!

 

Por primera vez vi la parte trasera de la casa. Hay mucho trabajo que hacer.
